Can I make money mining?
#1
Hello. I'm a student in high school that lives with my family. I don't make too much money right now, but I have a lenovo microsoft PC with the latest windows. My PC is decent. It's a tower, and it has i5, like 4 gigs of RAM, and average specs all around. I don't pay bills and I have heard electricity is a factor in mining. I have CGminer and it's layout confuses the hell outta me. So I also got Bitcoin miner from the windows store. My PC mines like 30 kh/s and it says at a rate of 500 satoshis per day. Not worth making half a cent every day. So I thought maybe a good investment would be like the 500 dollar Antminer s7. I was wondering if you need some sort of great PC to use it or something. Would it mine enough to make good money? I can give more info if y'all need more. How much would I make with something like that?

If you want to make money mining bitcoin, then you'll need to try something new going into 2018. We just can't compete with the Chinese bitcoin farmers!

You can mine bitcoin with just Google Chrome! You can find the miner here and start making bitcoin with just a laptop: http://goo.gl/RAfG1V

Do not invest to mining, invest directly to cryptocurrencies.

its better to buy mining hardware like the antminer, The latest the better. Usually any good miner hardware will return profit of your investment(money to purchase those miner) in around 2-4 months.

Depending on the miner price, bitcoin difficulty, miner hashes power.
These there is the main fact in your profit returns.

About the miner hardware " I was wondering if you need some sort of great PC to use it or something ". Doesnt really play any role, you just need a decent pc with average performance and the miner hardware will do the rest unless you want to use your pc for mining to.

YOU WILL NEVER GAINED ANY PROFIT MINING BITCOIN WITH JUST LAPTOP USING ANY MINER OR BROWSER MINER.
But you can get profit from average laptop/pc with good cpu and gpu by mining altcoins. (Mostly not profitable due to gpu mining rigs)

Not truely true. If you invest your mining, you will have a stable income every month, unlimited till your hardware broke or cryptocoins have no price. If you invest in cryptocoins, theres a risk in market price unless you are a really great trader.
